I dreamt I was on a sort of cruise ship to a port town. It was down a long narrow waterway. The ship wasn't a joy ride kind of cruise. It was more necessary transportation that was enjoyable with rooms, dinners, and so on. I was invited to dine at the captain's table, and felt like it was an honor, but had to refuse as I was with a new coworker that didn't want to be alone as well as a man I wanted to see as well. I told the captain about the situation and we were all invited for the rest of the journey/stay. My days were spent working on a site. I'm not sure quite what the project was, but some of it involved some labor, clearing, and prepping of grounds. The end of the workday had passed, but there were still items to clean up and I was helping some of the local crew pick up. I went back to the ship for dinner. I hadn't time to dress up, nor the energy, so I put on some jeans, a red sweater, and some heels. My man of interest looked down from a few seats away and saw the heels. Most of the table had already completed their dinners as I was late working. I think he thought I may have dressed up for the captain who was known for his flirty nature. I was sharing niceties with my dining neighbors when I noticed my friend left. I was too tired to deal with the thoughts he might be having. I continued with my meal until most of the table had cleared. The captain asked me to his cabin for a drink. It was done in a formal polite way and I was honestly curious what his suite looked like and enjoyed talking to him, so I said yes. Back at the cabin, he offered me a drink and then turned into his rumored self. I mentioned, very politely, that I was recently out of a relationship and no longer had it in me to settle for something light. I wanted what I wanted. He appreciated the honesty and the politeness. We together discussed how the ship was his true love, what he gave himself too. I so loved that explanation. He enjoyed the company of others, but he gave his heart and soul to his ship, his life as a captain. It was a new thing for me to see this type of relationship and in a very positive way. I went to find my friend. He was alone in his cabin. We were not in love with a ship ...

Exit Interview
I dreamt that I had recently been moved to a new office space. My one project had been completed and they had me working on some new and slightly menial tasks. A lot of repetition, I didn't mind as the location was new, the software was new to me and so I will still picking up new skills and enjoyed the change and what new tasks might be added later. A path that I couldn't see the end to was a nice feeling for the moment. I was sitting next to two other employees, a woman that was a bit nice and ditsy and a man who seemed a little more ambitious. We were doing our thing when my boss came over and asked if I wanted to manage three custom home projects. My stomach lifted and then sank. Here was a project where I would have autonomy, would be stuck in one location and would be working on something slightly unique. That all sounded great, but I didn't want to do construction. I immediately said no. His eyebrows furrowed as if a lightening thought of ... was it disappointment? shot through his mind. And then he moved on. Minutes later Ditsy and the man I sat next to plus one other absolutely nonexperienced person all said that they have been promoted to manage a house each. I was shocked. They couldn't possibly do this. I was combing through whether or not I should talk to my boss or if I should just take on this one last project. I went to go look for him at his desk and he sat me down. He asked me to fill out a questionnaire on this window he had up on his screen. I started answering the questions. They seemed a bit touchy-feely for this company. Then he started asking more questions along those lines and where do you see yourself in this company. Part of me was excited thinking they are going to place me somewhere more challenging. Then I was getting a sinking feeling they were gathering evidence. He had me go meet with a woman I had never met to continue this type of conversation. I realized they were getting final information to let me go. Not in a bad way, but they wanted it from the horse's mouth that I didn't belong.
Passing on to the next dream, where I was on a plane to France and still discussing the last woman I talked to. I had the remnants of my belongings in some bags and I was going through them. It was a collection of old memories - a book bag from jr. high, an old photo, matches or sugars stamped with a restaurant's name and so on. I gathered them all up as we were about to leave not realizing they had spilled out in some hidden cupboard to the side of me. We, myself and karrla and ? left the plane and in the airport there were a gaggle of women trying to fix a trailer. It was a clear trailer you pulled behind you and with fabric that you would attache for the wall and ceiling. It worked great when parked, but if you drove the wind flapped it around too much. I had a solution but we didn't have time to work with them and left.
