 kind of a mental dream - discussion with someone and the bits I remembered.

artificial intelligence - a concern - ??

AI would need desire - a human trait

want freedom - from what?

fear of death/turned off - would have to have a reason to "want" to be on (unless it is a computation or directive - programmed by a human)

power/control  - motivation?  usually ego/fear based >freedom

money/greed/control >freedom - same

"beauty"/accomplished/desirability/power/control > freedom- same

eradicate competition - control - same > security

accomplished for self/"I made it."/desireability/self approval-acceptance - ease??

now if it was given a problem to solve and found that animals/people/etc. were the issue to be eradicated..., this would only be a problem if you made ai the problem solver as well as the mechanism that carries out the solution.

Either it would need all of the data entered by a human, or have a way of collecting data - both ways would have insufficient data - living organisms are much more complicated than treating them like a petri dish, which I guess is the conern, but then that should be programmed into them as well - some sor to "full understanding" programming that would take actual time to execute experiements and observe, understand "cruelty" is not an option and programming that their mechanism is missing data that will never allow them to carry out completing solving some problems due to their lack of understanding of emotion, meaningfulness and purpose.

If goal was efficiency - again, AI would have to be the problem solver and the mechanism that carries out the solution.
