Moving a barn

I dreamt that I was in a large barn. Initially, I think I was just curious about the barn, then I was moving things around and when other's walked in, I had large plexi glass panels over the distressed and dusty walls in order to have a rustic/clean feel about the place and I was telling them that yes, this was going to be the gallery or store space. Then I was in a van connected to a flatbed connected to a semi-truck cab. We (my friend AL, her hubby, and I feel like some other goofy guy). We were hauling the barn to a new location. It was supposed to be semi in front, then van, and then flatbed, but the semi which we were in, ended up in the middle somehow and we were trying to figure out how to not fall off a cliff while reordering vehicles. It all worked out and then I was in front of a store. No barn, semi, or van.  It was I guess a different option and we were painting the windows with some blurring liquid so people couldn't see inside as we remodeled. It seemed easy, so easy.

M barn - inspired and a little in over my head, semi - out of control, new store... perfect bite size ease

The A Team

I dreamt that I was part of a team that was to protect. We were either military or some independent unit.  We were in an area that a unique storm was brewing. The wind would come in and almost undetectably, blow in fast small circles parallel to the ground and knock out whole fields at the base of plants. It was almost as if all of the plant matter was a large piece of paper that would blow away all at once. We were in an empty building watching and noticed that a very large dead tree blew over as well and sparked. Out unit had some cool new toys. One had a tractor of sorts that could articulate and perform delicate actions. One of our guys went missing - another of our guys had a crush on him and was searching for him, but he was fine. I found his shirt under a blanket (our day uniforms included Hawaiian shirts). His crush-er had folded it for him. I showed it to him and he rolled his eyes. He was very anal and I was thinking he would have appreciated it. Also stylish, he would order his own custom Hawaiian shirts to fit his look.  A

At the same time, this was happening, a mother was giving birth. Her young very emotional son was concerned about his mother and awaiting his new baby brother. He was there for the birth and at the end was more exhausted from the experience than she was.

Gunga Din

Not a dream, but was taking a shower and it was if someone used my head as a puppet and Gunga Din came out of my mouth. I had heard the words before but had zero references to what it was.

So I looked it up and found a poem that is about an Indian man who risked his life saving men on the battlefield (or that is what one post said).

Gunga Din

You may talk o’ gin and beer
When you’re quartered safe out ’ere,
An’ you’re sent to penny-fights an’ Aldershot it;
But when it comes to slaughter
You will do your work on water,
An’ you’ll lick the bloomin’ boots of ’im that’s got it.
Now in Injia’s sunny clime,
Where I used to spend my time
A-servin’ of ’Er Majesty the Queen,
Of all them blackfaced crew
The finest man I knew
Was our regimental bhisti, Gunga Din,
      He was ‘Din! Din! Din!
‘You limpin’ lump o’ brick-dust, Gunga Din!
      ‘Hi! Slippy hitherao
      ‘Water, get it! Panee lao,
‘You squidgy-nosed old idol, Gunga Din.’

The uniform ’e wore
Was nothin’ much before,
An’ rather less than ’arf o’ that be’ind,
For a piece o’ twisty rag
An’ a goatskin water-bag
Was all the field-equipment ’e could find.
When the sweatin’ troop-train lay
In a sidin’ through the day,
Where the ’eat would make your bloomin’ eyebrows crawl,
We shouted ‘Harry By!’
Till our throats were bricky-dry,
Then we wopped ’im ’cause ’e couldn’t serve us all.
      It was ‘Din! Din! Din!
‘You ’eathen, where the mischief ’ave you been?
‘You put some juldee in it
‘Or I’ll marrow you this minute
‘If you don’t fill up my helmet, Gunga Din!’

’E would dot an’ carry one
Till the longest day was done;
An’ ’e didn’t seem to know the use o’ fear.
If we charged or broke or cut,
You could bet your bloomin’ nut,
’E’d be waitin’ fifty paces right flank rear.
With ’is mussick on ’is back,
’E would skip with our attack,
An’ watch us till the bugles made 'Retire,’
An’ for all ’is dirty ’ide
’E was white, clear white, inside
When ’e went to tend the wounded under fire!
      It was ‘Din! Din! Din!’
With the bullets kickin’ dust-spots on the green.
      When the cartridges ran out,
You could hear the front-ranks shout,
   ‘Hi! ammunition-mules an' Gunga Din!’

I shan’t forgit the night
When I dropped be’ind the fight
With a bullet where my belt-plate should ’a’ been.
I was chokin’ mad with thirst,
An’ the man that spied me first
Was our good old grinnin’, gruntin’ Gunga Din.
’E lifted up my ’ead,
An’ he plugged me where I bled,
An’ ’e guv me ’arf-a-pint o’ water green.
It was crawlin’ and it stunk,
But of all the drinks I’ve drunk,
I’m gratefullest to one from Gunga Din.
      It was 'Din! Din! Din!
   ‘’Ere’s a beggar with a bullet through ’is spleen;
   ‘’E's chawin’ up the ground,
      ‘An’ ’e’s kickin’ all around:
‘For Gawd’s sake git the water, Gunga Din!’

’E carried me away
To where a dooli lay,
An’ a bullet come an’ drilled the beggar clean.
’E put me safe inside,
An’ just before ’e died,
'I ’ope you liked your drink,’ sez Gunga Din.
So I’ll meet ’im later on
At the place where ’e is gone—
Where it’s always double drill and no canteen.
’E’ll be squattin’ on the coals
Givin’ drink to poor damned souls,
An’ I’ll get a swig in hell from Gunga Din!
      Yes, Din! Din! Din!
   You Lazarushian-leather Gunga Din!
Though I’ve belted you and flayed you,
By the livin’ Gawd that made you,
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

chalk train, fairies and clocks

So I dreamt I was working back in the office instead of remotely. The staff had changed quite a bit and I found myself and my tiny desk stuck back in a corner with no windows. I walked by the VP on the way whose office also moved to a cube style area. He was dramatically and humorously going on about what kind of office supplies he needed and he really wanted this extra large mouse pad, looking at me as a hint to get him one. Not feeling overly enthused about being back in the office I said that I would head over to Office Depot and see what I could find. He said no no... later. So I went back to my dark corner and noticed he left me a welcome meal ... fast food burger and fries. Not what I would want, but I appreciated the kindness. I decided to move some of the treats (I found more offerings) to the office kitchen. On the way there I noticed a door to the outside. There were some office festivities going on. Some sort of fair, and children were present. I walked around to see what was up.. an area that was like a forest of white balloons, then I moved on to a chalk line that swirled around in a maze-like fashion. If you stood on it, it was like a train and you moved along the line effortlessly. I walked off the line and walked through a fairyland for the kids. Very tiny little figures and homes, trees and flowers that were very cute. Then I noticed some antique clocks, the kind that are gold and whirl with the time. I was trying to reach them but there was a crowd of women in their 50s 60s, each time I tried to move forward another would politely move wrongly assuming to know where I was going. It seemed they were waiting for some jewelry showing. I went the other way along some shelves and counters and there was a little girl singing a complicated song, not missing a word.

focus on the ...

I dreamt I was in a house, I lived in it with my boyfriend.  A mix of his ex girlfriends showed up as one person, walking around the house as if she owned it. I felt threatened and upset and that was turning to anger so I approached her to see what she wanted. It first it was defense vs defense, but then it turned into her explaining how she was miserable in the relationship due to this and that. We commiserated and all of the negative emotion melted away.

The bf showed up and I was sitting in the bathtub... clothed, but felt exposed or vulnerable. He was coming to say he was taking off to ski.

Then I was needing to get somewhere, almost to an office or work or an airport to get to work. I was running and it seemed I was running on a spiral of grass.... like a very very large structure of a path that spiraled up in the air and became wider as it went up. The path had stones, mossy stones, grass, streams, boulders and so on. I would start gaining speed and it would be fun, but then I would look down at the stones right in front of me and lose control of my footing and want to stop. I kept trying to run and it kept happening. I tried to remember what I was doing when it felt fun and good... I noticed I was not looking at where my feet were... but out in front of me at the next visual marker... a blade of grass, or a boulder, or.  I tried it again and it felt like I was flying.

Then I saw the ex girlfriend mix on the side with her father. All was ok with us and he seemed to help smooth it out even more. They had invited me to dinner as a peaceful gesture. I went from there to an airport. Sitting on a sofa with a towel, backpack and other items sprawled out. I saw two men looking for a place to sit near the gate, so I nodded to them and gathered my things so they could sit. This situation is a bit blurry. Some excitement for the trip, some unpreparedness feelings as well. Then a woman came out of the airplane entrance. She asked for some small favor from me and then handed me a free ticket that could be used to go anywhere. I was very appreciative. As she walked away, I had remembered that I had another ticket that was similar and was very excited thinking about my next trip.

Then I was at an office. An old exbf of mine was working there and had requested I visit. He looked well and was in a position he liked. I went to his office. It was quite the setup, nice lighting, furniture and a private bathroom. For some reason we both decided to stand in the bathtub. We looked each other in the eyes and it felt a bit comforting like coming home. We both could feel the exhale and embraced for a moment.

I left there and went to visit an old friend of mine and her mother. I was going to tell her about visiting my ex bf (JBDS). It was so nice to see both of them and then I mentioned to her mother about the father of the exgf. She was single so I mentioned that he seemed handsome and smart etc...
