work

I dreamt that I was working for my last company where the boss and I didn't click exactly. I knew I was headed out and they had a new girl coming in. I think I was liking that last week of work, knowing that I could detach from everything that was going on and my surroundings... the drama. The VP was being kind of weird, but I knew why. We were kind of each other's outlet at work, to goof around and make jokes and I was about to leave. I was looking for the printer. I think I was being proactive about something I didn't need to be. I saw that they hadn't fixed something that they had no clue was broken. It would make printing a breeze compared to the way they were doing it. I made a few people happy, including the boss. He was smiling and genuinely nice to me. He asked me to stay on a week longer, that the new girl wasn't going to work out. He also wanted to play like this day was my last day, and surprise everyone when I showed up the following week. He was playful, nice... not his usual self. I felt like it was due to the printer. Why hadn't
I put extra effort in before? Maybe he felt estranged from me and me him just due to my by the bookness, maybe coldness? He wanted to feel cared for. Hmm...  A friend of mine worked there as well, KM who moved away long ago. She was in a good mood too telling me about her life.

I dreamt that I was downtown needing to get somewhere... from an office to a function? meeting friends? a class?  I was about 20 stories tall though. I could walk over buildings, but with stilts on, so my footing wasn't sooo perfect, but it wasn't unsteady either. I would step carefully on rooftops as not to damage them or poke holes through, and then slide down them if they were slanted. It was kind of fun. I ended up at some science museum type place. I noticed most of the museum was for a child audience. Lots of short kiosks and fun imagery. There were fun areas where you could draw things but with liquids encased in plastic, sands or metals with magnets. I made one and left it and my brother came by and said this one is neat. I had titled it connection. I noticed more friends (although I had never seen any of these faces) and realized we were all there for my brother's wife and her baby. Some class for them or celebration, not sure. They had refrigerator magnets and I spelled out baby and :)  to take a photo to commemorate the moment. I saw a couple of guys and a girl that were bored and made up some excuse to leave. There was another palish fellow there and I thought he was going to do the same, but he wanted to do something to show his support. He asked.. Is there a card I should sign? He seemed a bit nervous and I didn't know of a card.. I saw some large white paper and I said... no, but we need one. Could you make one over there out of crayons? He seemed so happy to be of use and went right to it.
